Hi, I am Ioana, founder of Guestio. I am a hospitality geek with over 20 years of experience in hotels and vacation rentals management and digital marketing. I first fell in love with accommodations after staying at a treehouse while attending my Master Degree in Switzerland. Since then I’ve managed a variety of properties from premium resorts to boutique hotels and villas, specializing in revenue generation and dynamic rates technology. I spent the last 15 years managing product marketing strategies for top hotels in New York City. I worked for Booking.com for over 6 years managing the biggest revenue-generating hotels in Manhattan and being exposed to the latest trends in property management, specifically optimizing rates and digital visibility and ranking. With my academic background in international tourism management and marketing technologies, it was only natural for me to start researching emerging trends that could help improve vacation rental experiences in Romania. That’s how the idea for Guestio came about.
